Healthcare Realty Trust Announces Ground Rock, TX Wednesday, May 28, 2008 - 12:16 PM HEALTHCARE REALTY TRUST ANNOUNCES GROUND BREAKING FOR A MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING IN ROUND ROCK, TEXAS NASHVILLE, Tennessee May 27, 2008 — Healthcare Realty Trust Incorporated (NYSE:HR) has announced plans to break ground for a new medical office building at 425 University Boulevard in Round Rock, Texas. Healthcare Realty Trust will construct, own and operate the building, located in Round Rock’s “medical corridor.” The 135,000 square foot, five-story medical office building is scheduled to open in June 2009. The facility will be leased to physicians and medical tenants relocating to and expanding in the growing Round Rock market. Mayor Alan McGraw said, “Healthcare Realty Trust’s building signifies widespread interest in investment in Round Rock. The medical community is a critical component of the growth we are experiencing. It is an exciting time for Round Rock.” “The decision to build on the University Boulevard site was obvious,” reported Todd Meredith, Senior VP of Healthcare Realty. “425 University Boulevard Medical Plaza will be central to some of the fastest growing residential, retail and medical development in the country. We believe the building will provide the best location for physicians serving the Round Rock community. 425 University Boulevard Medical Plaza will be located across the street from Scott and White’s University Medical Campus, within two miles of Seton Medical Center Williamson, and within six miles of the Georgetown Hospital and Round Rock Medical Center. The area’s growth in medical education - with Texas A&M and Texas State University both planning to build educational facilities- indicates University Boulevard is becoming a medical hub for Round Rock. A groundbreaking event, open to the public, will be held at the site Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 9:00 AM. Mayor Alan McGraw will be the special guest speaker and refreshments will be provided by Round Rock Donuts. The entrance for the event and parking will be located off of Sunrise Road just south of University Boulevard across from CVS. Healthcare Realty Trust is a real estate investment trust that integrates owning, managing and developing income-producing real estate properties associated primarily with the delivery of outpatient healthcare services throughout the United States.
